And Yes we are on top of a hill.  One of the highest spots in Our Town.

Pastor Harry  and Wife Diane Holmquist

What is church on the hill?

We are a uniquely blended body of believers formed by the Holy Spirit and consisting of Logan Lake Pentecostal Assembly and Highland Valley Baptist Church.  We have covenanted to God, to each other and to our community to seek Christ and His kingdom and to serve Him, each other and our community in Christian love.

While we share our Pastor, our faith and our programs, both entities answer to their own affiliation.  Logan Lake Pentecostal to the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) and Highland Valley Baptist to the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches International (FEBI).

Our goal is to point people to Jesus Christ, Who alone is able to meet the need of every heart.

What We Believe

1.      We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and the final authority in faith and conduct.

2.      We believe that there is One God, eternally existing in the three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3.      We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His deity, His sinless humanity, His atoning death on the cross as our substitute, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right, His intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal bodily return.

4.      We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone through the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit.

5.      We believe in holy living enabled by the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin, convinces of righteousness and judgment, who guides, empowers and gifts all believers for doing the work of ministry, including supernatural healing of the human body.

6.      We believe in the Lordship of Christ over the Church and observe the ordinances of water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s supper.

7.      We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the judgment and eternal punishment of the wicked.
